What's New in GSA 8.2 ?

Key new features:

Footfall Response Analysis
  • Footfall analysis — for the calculation of vertical response (resonant and transient) of floors and stairs subjected to the dynamic loads of human footfall
  • Harmonic analysis — for the investigation of the effect of machine vibration on structures
  • Revit Structure plug-in — offering:
    • export new GSA model from Revit
    • synchronize Revit and GSA models, either way
    • create new Revit model from GSA
  • Sparse solver — analyses larger models up to 10 times faster
  • Non-linear springs — spring stiffnesses specified by user defined curves per direction
  • Buckling of 2D elements — 2D elements now recognised in buckling and P-Δ analyses
  • Constraint Equations — enabling explicit definition of interdependent nodal constraints
  • CAD import and export — improved control over import and export of CAD data
  • Grid lines — enhanced grid line and grid plane interaction
  • Geometric entities — introduction of parametric geometric entities enabling ...
  • 2D element mesh generation — easily maintained 2D element mesh generation

A graphical summary of the new features in this version may be viewed in the GSA 8.2 New Features PowerPoint presentation.
